Kevin "Siphonn" Bentz is a American Protoss player who played for Clarity Gaming, before he left on September 25, 2013.[1] Siphonn had announced his plans to retire from competitive SC2 due to school in August 2013. He attended IEM Season VIII - New York, as his last tournament, and subsequently retired.[2] He has since returned to the world of competitive SC2 to play for Deimos Esports in November 2013.[3] However, Siphonn became teamless once again after the team's disbandment, on 3 May 2014.[4] On July 8, he joined Flipsid3 Tactics.


Siphonn started playing Starcraft competitively in March 2011 after he reached Master two months after buying the game. He has an aggressive play style in the early to mid-game. He has no RTS-experience prior to Starcraft 2. Siphonn was briefly a professional Call of Duty player, most notably taking second place in the first Machinima Frag Cup [5]

Wings of Liberty[edit]

March 2012: Siphonn played Infinity Seven's Axslav in a show match for 50$ sponsored by GamerWarehouse. Siphonn went on to win 3-1 in dominating fashion.

April 2012: Siphonn defeated Korean Protoss Crane of FXO in finals of the Playhem Daily #218 2-1 to take 1st place.

Heart of the Swarm[edit]

On November 24, 2013, Siphonn joined Deimos Esports.[3]

In the 2014 WCS America Challenger League Qualifiers, Siphonn fell just short of qualifying losing 1-2 to CatZ.

In March 2014, Siphonn played in LAN ETS 2014 in Quebec, beating players like Hendralisk, NuBrGNi and Jig making it to the round of 8, before dropping to AlexCMoi.

Siphonn competed in the 2014 WCS America Challenger League Season Qualifiers. Jig and JonSnow were among the notable players he knocked out before losing 1-2 in the qualifying finals versus Hendralisk.

After qualifying for Breaking Out Season 2, Siphonn finished second place in The Breakout Invitational 2 tournament, losing in the finals 0-4 to hendralisk.

Siphonn competed in MLG Anaheim 2014. He was knocked into the losers bracket in round 2 losing 0-2 to HyuN. In the losers bracket he fell out of the tournament losing 0-2 to Vibe in round 4.
