Vladimir "Siw" Syzranov (born August 27, 1992) is a retired Russian Protoss player who last played for Team Empire.
Wings of Liberty[edit]
Siw mainly competes in weekly events, and won his first online cup in July 2011. A few days later, he participated in World Cyber Games 2011 Russian Qualifiers, where he was knocked-out in the round of 16 by Aristeo. On July 29, 2011, he joined Team Empire.[1][2]
On November 23, Siw parted ways with Team Empire as Welmu was joining the team, because after months of personally unsatisfying results he had lost the motivation to practice any more and therefore decided to stop playing StarCraft II competitively for an indefinite period of time.[3]
February 25, 2012, Virtus.pro announced that they had recruited Siw.[4]
On October 10, Siw was kicked from Virtus.pro because he didn't warn his team or WCG organizers about passport problems (which led to inability to attend the World Cyber Games 2012 Russian Qualifier LAN Final).[5]
On January 8, 2013, Siw rejoined Team Empire.[6]
Heart of the Swarm[edit]
Siw managed to qualify for the WCS Europe Season 1 on the fourth day of the Premier League qualifiers beating players such as NightEnD, Welmu, XiGua and XlorD before falling to Shuttle in the finals.
He fell out of the Premier League, last in his group after losing to Mvp and Socke. He then lost 2-1 to TAiLS in the Challenger League and fell to the group stage. Although he was unable to beat NaNiwa, a win against BlinG in the losers match got him into the Season 2 Challenger League
On August 11, 2013, it was announced that Siw had decided to retire from progaming, forfeiting his spot in Challenger League.[7]
