Timothé "SonG" Cynober was a French Terran player who is now retired.

Biography[edit]

SonG is a student living near Paris (France). He was a high level player in World of Warcraft for teams Millenium & aAa. He moved to StarCraft II at the end of the beta. SonG was also a high level 2v2 player in Brood War, where he was B on iccup. He had some results early in StarCraft II, for team France in 2v2, but he eventually switched to 1v1. SonG is very active in the French scene. He works on a lot of projects, like the show 100% SC2 (State of the Game-like) with egg-one. He is also a coach featured egg-school. He works on some events, like university clan wars (May 2012). He often promotes new projects and shares them with people who are new to esports.

Wings of Liberty[edit]

SonG was a member of Virus Gaming. He was ranked in the European Grand Master league. SonG made most French offline event with more or less good results, like a top 16 finish in Gamer Assembly 2011. His achievements are mostly composed of online weekly cups. He also qualified for "ESWC qualifier" 2010-2011.

On June 15, 2012, after three months, SonG was released from team mTw.[1] SonG later joined team Alt-Tab.Gaming.

On November 15, 2012, he became teamless again as Alt-Tab.Gaming disbanded.[2]

In 2013, he joined GSU Gaming as the first StarCraft II player of their roster, but a month later, on February 9, 2013, he announced that he had retire from competitive StarCraft.[3]

However, he started playing again for the following season of the Francophone Championship. He once again announced retirement on February 19, 2014.[4]
