Sung "Stalife" Park (born April 21, 1986) is a retired Canadian Terran player.

Biography[edit]

Stalife originally played Brood War casually as a Protoss player, opting to play UMS maps such as Fastest Map Possible. He later started playing on the iCCup server, reaching an "A" rating with his play there.[1]

Wings of Liberty[edit]

As a StarCraft II player, Stalife is known for popularizing the use of the Stalife Drop, which was featured in a Day[9] Daily.[2] He has played in many local LAN events held in the Vancouver, BC area and has performed well in them, with a number of 1st-place finishes. Stalife was seeded into the first season of the North American Starleague in Division D. He finished 7th (35th overall) in his division and was narrowly eliminated from the league by 1 rank. This meant that he would not qualify to play in the next season.

Stalife, along with longtime teammate FireZerg, was released from compLexity on September 18.[3] On January 21st, 2012 he was picked up by LighT eSports along with former SlayerS player Golden.[4]

IGN Pro League[edit]

Stalife competed in the first season of the IPL, quickly getting knocked into the losers bracket in the 1st round 2-0 by KiWiKaKi. He defeated Sheth and Spades, both with 2-0 scores within the losers bracket. He inevitably got knocked out of the tournament by ViBE with a 2-1 score.

Stalife qualified for IPL2 by placing 7th in the IPL2 Qualifier 1, giving him a 27th seeding position in the tournament. His run in this season would prove to be shorter than the last, getting knocked out in the 1st round of the winners and losers brackets by Brat_OK and CocoA respectively.

Trivia[edit]

  • Creator of the Stalife Drop.
  • Student at UBC.[5]
  • Traditionally eats steak before most LAN tournaments for good luck.[6]
