Riddle "THERIDDLER" Li (born January 2, 1997) is a Canadian Terran player.

He played Protoss until 2016, when he inexplicably switched to Terran after discovering avilo's stream.

Legacy of the Void

On December 3, 2017, THERIDDLER managed to reach the semi-finals of the Tespa Training Grounds 1v1 tournament. In the group stage rounds, he off-raced as Protoss and defeated Raze 2-1 and PureLegacy 4-1. In the Ro8 match, he played Terran and defeated printf 3-0. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the semi-finals by JonSnow by a score of 3-0. However, THERIDDLER earned over $600 in physical prizing which included an ASUS tablet, ASUS mouse, ASUS headset, and an exclusive Tespa Champions jacket.

On April 28, 2018, THERIDDLER and his teammates, Buster and Lokk, were able to reach the finals of the Tespa Collegiate Series. Representing his school, University of Waterloo, THERIDDLER showed some dominant play before his team narrowly lost to Silky and UC Berkeley by a score of 4-3. THERIDDLER was able to earn $2000 in scholarship prizing thanks to the 2nd place finish.

On December 2, 2018, THERIDDLER played in the WESG 2018 Canadian Finals where he lost to Scarlett in a hard fought match. Thanks to his skillful qualification to this tournament, THERIDDLER was able to earn $1170 for his 3rd-4th place finish.

On May 4, 2019, THERIDDLER helped University of Waterloo defeat Temple University in the grand finals of the Collegiate Star League. THERIDDLER was able to win two maps off of his rival, Rob, including the final ace map. THERIDDLER showed a Battlecruiser-centric style which Rob was not able to defeat that day. With that Waterloo was able to take home the 3-2 victory and the $2000 cash prize for winning the league.

On August 19, 2019, THERIDDLER was voted in as the third member of Team Canada in Nation Wars 2019. He played alongside teammates Scarlett and NoRegreT. THERIDDLER helped Canada reach a top 8 finish in the tournament, with map wins over opponents such as Vanya, Lobo, and Blysk.

On November 10, 2019, THERIDDLER played in the WESG 2019 Canada Qualifier. He defeated one of his rivals, Bioice, with a 3-1 score to secure 4th place, earning $1000 for this performance. THERIDDLER's run came to an end when he lost to Asuna afterwards.

WCS Avilo Controversy

On April 9, 2018, THERIDDLER played a controversial match against avilo in the 2018 WCS Austin North America Open Qualifiers. During the first map on Backwater, the two Terrans played a long, drawn-out game that lasted over an hour. When it seemed like THERIDDLER had the upper hand, avilo paused the game and asked the admins to call the game a draw. After some thought, the admins decided to call the game a draw and force a rematch against THERIDDLER's will. In the rematch on Backwater, THERIDDLER was able to take an extra base and push the advantage to a victory in just over an hour. Due to the length of these games, the rest of the qualifier was postponed to the next evening. In another controversial move, the admins also assigned THERIDDLER a warning for "not actively playing to win." The admins received criticism from the community over their decisions during this match, with community figures such as Artosis arguing that both the draw ruling and the warning were unwarranted.

THERIDDLER first played against Losira in the finals of the OSC Melee/15 on November 27, 2017. In an extremely close 3-1 series, Losira was able to barely edge out a victory. On February 4, 2018, the pair faced off once again in the Gauntlet Global Open 29, where Losira was able to prevail again by a score of 2-1. On February 17, 2018, THERIDDLER faced Losira for a third time during the SC2 ONLINE Community Open 84, where THERIDDLER asked, "Do you remember me?" which was met with a response of "Yes cute boy" from Losira. On July 16, 2018, THERIDDLER faced Losira in the finals of the Gauntlet Global Open 50, where THERIDDLER was inundated by messages of "cute guy" from Losira before eventually losing a hard fought series 3-1.
