Featured Article[edit]
One month seems like a really long time for a featured article to stay up. On wikipedia they change it daily. I understand that daily's probably too frequent for a more niche wiki, so I would think every week, or maybe every other week would be better. As much as I love Stephano, I'm not sure I could stare at his mug for an entire month. :P Wiz0floyd 00:38, 26 August 2012 (KST)
- Agreed, this length should be shorter. If we set the focus for each upcoming week or two, player pages and other things could be heavily developed, 'sprinted', to become featured material. I say we shoot for new article every 2 weeks. -- MtJoy 15:45, 26 August 2012 (KST)
- Also, right now the featured article is pushed to the bottom of the page and extends it quite far (which is where the Read more link is). See Wikipedia, the featured article needs to be more compact. This may allow us to put the featured article above the news, and have it where users would actually look at both (because you can actually see both headers), and continue to allow the news to take up the same amount of space as it currently does. -- MtJoy 15:57, 26 August 2012 (KST)
- There's currently not enough content of high enough quality to feature on the front page to warrant having it a shorter time than a month. We have maybe 3 months worth of content that we might want to feature. If we had gone with one week we would be out of content that was good to feature about now and would start re-featuring the same articles again. Broken link[edit]
The link for "references" in the banner ("Also, please add a reference to your addition or edit.") needs to be changed from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Layout#Notes_and_References to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Layout#Notes_and_references.
