Gábor "AZTEX" Hornyák is a Protoss player from Hungary currently teamless.


AZTEX's first taste into the RTS genre was with Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 and Age of Empires 2. He used to play these games with his dad at the age of 8. Before 2012 AZTEX was a competitive player and caster in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In 2012 AZTEX start playing with StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. He had no experience in StarCraft, but played many RTS games before. In the first few months he started playing in tournaments and defeat players beyond his level. In the november of 2012 AZTEX joins WiLD MultiGaming StarCraft II section his first professional esports team.

In 2012 he joins WiLD MultiGaming.

Heart of the Swarm[edit]

Early 2013 he played on one of ESL LateNight CUPs and in the finals he faced Elazer and lost to 2-3 in a close series.[1] Also in the early 2013 he was invited to play in a exhibition tournament on PlayIT Winter 2013.[2] In the middle of 2013 AZTEX was invited to play in the Hungarian Masters Championship Season One, in the tournament he did pretty well as a newbie, he won his RO32 group and advances to the RO16. In the RO16#1 he get his right to play in the playoffs, but the whole RO16 is needed to be re-played and in the RO16#2 he eliminated from the tournament. Early 2014 he was invited to play again in the Hungarian Masters Championship Season Two he won his RO32 group and eliminated in the RO16. In the middle of 2014 he played in South East Europe Championship SC2 Hungary Qualifier #2 and qualified to the Hungarian finals, unfortunately he gets eliminated in the Hungarian finals.[3] In 2015 he won ESL A-series Ladder and qualified to the Go4SC2 Monthly finals. In 2015 april he joins RAGE.eSports. In 2015 november he was invited to play a showmatch on SupplyBlockTV LastCallShow. AZTEX faced RobbyG in the showmatch and play a close 1-2 series. In 2015 he also played a showmatch on HungaroCon against Wordix.[4]

Legacy of the Void[edit]

In the middle of 2017 he joins Next Gaming, in 2017 september the whole team moved to Prophecy esport. In 2017 august AZTEX qualified to the ESL SummerCup 2017 series Finals Europe with the highest overall score and lost in the finals against Burny.[5] In 2018 the name of the team is changed into Exeed Esports. Later in 2018 AZTEX retire because of university studies.
