Uploading photos[edit]

Hi, you recently uploaded some photos (File:Zycart.jpg , File:SuppyandTooDming.jpg) but without adding information like license, source, copyrights... We need permission if we want to keep the images on Liquipedia. Both pictures seem to be screen capture from a stream, but that do not give us the right to use them as they are still the property of the streamer (in those case NeoTV & Red Bull I presume who are not listed here). Reverted GPL 2015 Season 2 edits[edit]

Hi Thickertom, you reverted 2 edits that I made: https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/index.php?title=GPL_2015_Season_2%2FPremier&diff=893376&oldid=893373 however I have not been able to find anything incorrect in them. Is there something that I am missing or was this a mistake?

Missing FileInfo[edit]

Hi, you uploaded the following file(s) on Liquipedia.

As written in the "Please read carefully" section of the Upload Form:
All files uploaded to Liquipedia.net must be under one of the licenses listed here.
If you do not provide source and suitable license information, or if a file is in no way useful for this site, your file will have to be deleted without further notice. The file will not be deleted right now, so you have time to provide the necessary information. Use the {{FileInfo}} template for that:

  • If the file is copyrighted, you can ask the author for his permission, and send it to contact@liquipedia.net. If you are the author, then of course, please send us your own permission.
  • If the file is under one of the licenses listed here, then please add this information too.
  • See Liquipedia:Copyrights_repository for entities that have given Liquipedia permission to use certain images.

If after a few days, no information has been added, the file will be deleted. The file can be restored after deletion, if the necessary information has been provided.
It may sound overly strict, but we have to do this to make sure Liquipedia does not violate any copyright. If you have questions, you can ask them on my talk page.

Thanks,

--Shloubot (talk) 19:45, 17 June 2015 (KST)

Starcraft League and Aligulac[edit]

Hi, it seems that nobody has submitted StarCraft League to Aligulac, could you or Zhengyu do that? Thanks.

--Shrinkzxo (talk) 22:28, 26 December 2015 (KST)

Well, at least the playoffs.

Silky (Chinese player) and Silky (American player)[edit]

Kiriko is about LEor.Silky's ID style of Japanese animes instead of F3.Silky's. Who knows "Silky" used Kirito as his ID in which matches? -- Thickertom

Mystery[edit]

Can you revert his page to Mystery? It has been agreed by Shanghai Circuit team that Jieshi is just an In-game handle. You can't change, like, Scarlett's page to Sasha or Tossimba.

New templates for player pages[edit]

Hi,

the following just as an information since you do not seem to have joined the Liquipedia discord yet.

We recently updated all the player pages with the following 2 new features (after the very nice work made by trev):

  • a Matches page with all the matches played (the ones registered on the wiki ofc)
  • a Head to Head page with the possibility to run queries related to the player (preloaded)

How to add these new features to player pages:

  • for normal players:
    • on main player page replace {{DISPLAYTITLE}} and static tabs with {{PlayerTabs}}
    • on players results page replace {{DISPLAYTITLE}} and static tabs with {{ResultsPageHeader}}
    • on the newly appeared Matches tab create the page with

{{ResultsPageHeader}}<br> {{Player matches table}}

  • for players with broadcasts:
    • on main player page replace {{DISPLAYTITLE}} and static tabs with {{PlayerBroadcasterTabs}}
    • on players results page and broadcast page replace {{DISPLAYTITLE}} and static tabs with {{ResultsBroadcastsPageHeader}}
    • on the newly appeared Matches tab create the page with

{{ResultsBroadcastsPageHeader}}<br> {{Player matches table}}

  • for player names starting with a lower case or in cases of disambiguation (where the disambiguation should not be shown on the page):
    • use the (optional) |title= parameter in the {{ResultsPageHeader}} (or {{ResultsBroadcastsPageHeader}}) template (e.g. {{ResultsPageHeader|title=sOs: Results}} for the results page of sOs)

In the last couple of days, CynicalDeath, Kashim and me already worked on that and edited some hundreds of players but surely there are still quite some to do. So if you find one of those pages feel free to update it.

Thank you very much for the help! (Feel free to ask questions and/or report issues about this.)

Remider of Notability Guidelines Update[edit]

Hi,

just as a friendly remider/FYI that with adding the matches pages/templates some months ago we also changed the Notability Guidelines a bit. Now Results and Matches subpages of player pages do not count towards the 20 Links goal. (See here.)
