The World Esports Championship Games 2014: South Korea Qualifier is an offline tournament taking place in Seoul, that will allow three players to qualify to the WECG 2014.

Format[edit]

Qualifiers: 14:00 KST September 15th & 13:00 KST September 16th

  • Offline, held at TG e-Stadium in Sindorim
  • 12 single-elimination brackets.
  • Matches are best of three.
  • Winner of each bracket advances to Korea National Finals.

Korea National Finals:

  • Offline, held at NEXON Arena.
  • Top 3 of World Cyber Games 2013 and winner of 2014 KeSPA Cup are invited.
  • Group Stage: September 29th to October 7th
    • Four groups of four players each played out in dual-tournament format.
    • Matches are best of three.
    • Top 2 of each group advance to playoffs.
  • Playoffs: October 13th to October 21st
    • Single-elimination bracket
    • Matches are best of five.
    • Top 3 are qualified for WECG 2014.

Prize Pool[edit]

10,000,000 KRW (~$9,476.80 USD) are spread among the players as seen below:

Converted USD prizes are based on the currency exchange rate (taken from xe.com) on October 21, 2014: 1,000 KRW = 0.94768 USD.
