The ESET Winter Masters 2012 is the third edition of the seasonal ESET Masters -tournament series organized and casted by HomerJ.
Format[edit]
- The ESET Winter Masters 2012 featured a qualification system and finally a single-elimination playoffs, where the matches from round of 8 all the way to the grand finals will be played offline.
- 12 Qualification Cups were held, with $250 prize pool each, in which the best 32 players were given points according to their performance.
- The 12 players with the most points qualified for the playoffs.
- Three Direct Qualification Cups were held, with $250 prize pool each. The first player of each cup gained a seed in the playoffs.
- Playoffs
- The 16 remaining players were put in a single elimination bracket. The matches are best of 3 until the semifinals, which are best of 5 and the final is a best of 7.[1]
- The round of 16 was played online after which all of the games were played offline.
