Cypher is a VALORANT agent who is the embodiment of the spy and infiltrator archetype. Cypher relies on ambushing enemies with various traps, which daze, restrain, and slow enemies in their range.

Cypher is also skilled in gathering information about the battlefield, using Spycam's to monitor enemy team movements or extracting information from dead enemies to reveal the location of their allies. Skilled Cypher players will have intimate knowledge of VALORANT maps to know the best places to set traps and Spycams, crippling the enemy team while staying hidden in the shadows.

EQUIP a trapwire.
FIRE to place a destructible and cover tripwire at the targeted location, creating a line that spans between the placed location and the wall opposite. Enemy players who cross a tripwire will be tethered, revealed and dazed after a short period if they do not destroy the device in time. This ability can be picked up to be REDEPLOYED.

EQUIP a cyber cage.
FIRE to toss the cyber cage in front of Cypher.
ACTIVATE to create a zone that blocks vision and creates a sound when enemy's enter it. (Can be picked up during buy phase.)

EQUIP a spycam.
FIRE to place the spycam at the targeted location.
RE-USE this ability to take control of the camera's view. While in control of the camera.
FIRE to shoot a marking dart. This dart will reveal the location of any player struck by the dart.
Neural Theft
Ability: Ultimate
Ultimate Cost: 6
INSTANTLY use on a dead enemy player in your crosshairs to reveal the location of all living enemy players.

  • Buff Maximum Trapwire length increased 1000 >>> 1500.
  • Neural Theft (X):
  • Buff Now reveals enemies two times. There is a four second delay between the reveals.
  • Buff Time restriction to cast on enemy corpses has been removed.
  • Buff Maximum cast distance increased 1200 >>> 1800.
  • Rescale Updated the yellow silhouette used for Cypher’s reveal on Spycam and Neural Theft.
  • Rescale Yellow silhouette now disappears if the revealed enemy becomes visible to you to help reduce confusion of seeing two representations of the enemy in different places.
  • Rescale Yellow silhouette now starts dimmer and fades faster to make it more distinguishable from an actual enemy.
  • Bug Fix Cypher’s placed utility is no longer destroyed by allies’ AOE damage.
  • Bug Fix Fixed a bug where some weapon equips could play the wrong equip speed animation, which could visually misrepresent when you were able to fire. Some situations impacted by this bug were when Cypher was exiting the Spycam.
  • Bug Fix Fixed a bug where Cypher’s Cyber Cage would sometimes disappear from the minimap.
  • Rescale Progress/Charge bars moved to a consistent location and made a consistent size
  • Bug Fix Voice lines relating to Trapwire and Spycam will now be heard globally by allies

  • Bug Fix Cypher can no longer place Spycam on the Breeze door in order to destroy or see through the door when it's lowered.
