The ESL Pro Series France - Season IV is the French National Championship. It's organized, sponsored and hosted by ESL. Only players residing in France are eligible to participate in this tournament. The offline playoffs took place during the Gamers Assembly in Poitiers (France).

The French player ToD won for the first time, beating his countryman PsYkO in final.

Format and dates[edit]

Qualification[edit]

Three regular qualification tournaments were held:


Due to the withdrawal of both TrqR and DkS, a Wild Card qualifier took place on December 15th.

Regular season[edit]

The regular season consists of a single group:

  • simple round robin (a player face each others once),
  • all matches are Bo3,
  • played from December 12th (2007) to March 16th (2008),
  • top 4 advance to the playoffs.

Playoffs[edit]

The 4 remaining players face offfline in Poitiers (France) in a double elimination bracket:

  • the regular season winner face 4th ranked player in semi-final,
  • grand final played with a super advantage (if the player coming from the losers' bracket won, a 2nd match determine the winner),
  • all matches are Bo3,
  • early rounds played on March 22nd,
  • losers' final and grand final played on March 23rd.

The matches of the players who left the league aren't recorded in the table, their opponent got awarded a defwin regardless of the actual result.
