Season 1

Season 1 (2021)

The ESL Meisterschaft is the German National Championship, formerly known as ESL Pro Series Germany. It's organized, sponsored and hosted by ESL. Only players residing in Germany or Austria are eligible to participate in this tournament, it does not belongs to the ESL Pro Tour.

Here is the 2020 - Season 2, played online on Europe Battle.net servers.

The German player and defending champion XlorD won, beating his countryman EnTe in final.

Format[edit]

Qualification[edit]

The season 1 top 8 is invited. A closed qualifier offered the 4 last spots. It features the 4 last players from season 1 and the top 4 from the season 2 qualifier system point (based on performances out of the 4 open qualifiers).

Regular season[edit]

The regular season consits of 2 groups of 6 players each :

double round robin (a player faces each others twice),
all matches played as Bo3,
group winners go straight into playoffs semi-finals,
second and third ranked players qualify for playoffs,
played from September 28th to December 1st.

Aftermath, for each group

top 4 ranked players qualify for next year Season 1.
5-6th ranked player must play the relegation phase.

Playoffs[edit]

The 6 players remaining face in a single elimination bracket :

second and third ranked players face one another (cross group),
group winners start in semi-final, facing previous round winner,
all matches are Bo5,
round 1 is played on December 15th,
the final matches played on January 23rd, 2021.
