Now the mountain giants have pledged their courage and strength to the night elves' cause -- and stand ready to banish the last remnants of the Burning Legion from the world. These massive melee units that can take incredible amounts of punishment from attackers.
Spells & Abilities[edit]
Taunt |
The closest 10 enemies are forced to attack this unit
Notes
The purpose of this ability is to force the enemy to attack the Mountain Giant which can absorb a lot of damage. This will stop the enemy from attacking your Hero or other more important or weak units.
Taunt does not affect units that are casting spells or units that are repairing something. Taunt affects only the 10 closest units. It is also disabled by Banish.
War Club |
Picks up a tree to give the Mountain Giant Siege damage and increased attack range. Lasts for 15 strikes.
Notes
This ability is useful when you want the Mountain Giant to destroy buildings. Make sure not to use War Club if you're trying to kill other units. Watch for the tree/War Club disappearing from his hands so you will know when to grab another tree. The Mountain Giant is very large so he requires extra control to avoid being stuck. A common problem is to tell him to use War Club on a tree, but things are blocking him from reaching the tree. Watch out for that.
Mountain Giants will grab a tree if you select a Mountain Giant and right-click on a tree.
Once a Mountain Giant has a tree in his hand he can now destroy trees with it. Instruct the Mountain Giant to attack trees and he can be used to clear out trees.
Resistant Skin |
