The Nostalgia Battlefield is a tournament organized and sponsored by Yuugames. The tournament took place in Harbin (China) providing more than $ 45,000 to the Warcraft III scene. It's by far, the biggest prize money of the year for any type of event.
Team TH000 won, beating Team Grubby in final.
Format and dates[edit]
Qualification[edit]
- 8 famous Warcraft III players are invited.
- 16 other players come from the qualifier, played from January 6th to 15th.
Main event[edit]
Each invited player pick two qualified players to form a team of three. The tournament consists of a double elimination bracket:
- all matches are Bo5,
- all matches played as King of the Hill style tournament:
- winner of the map stays alive,
- loser of the map has to be replaced.
