The October qualifier is one of four monthly tournaments that is part of the NetEase Qualifier for WGL 2018 Winter.
The winner receives a prize, as well as important points in the race to qualify for the Main Event.

Format and dates[edit]
Preliminary rounds[edit]
Top 32 players from the NetEase ladder at October 10th qualify for the preliminary rounds :
- players are divided into 4 groups of 8 players each,
- the groups are played as double elimination,
- all matches are best-of-three,
- top 4 qualify for the groupstage.
Dates :
- group A: october 18th,
- group B: october 19th,
- group C: october 20th,
- group D: october 21st.
Groupstage[edit]
- 16 players are divided into 4 groups of 4 players each,
- the groups are played as double elimination,
- all matches are best-of-three,
- top 2 qualify for the playoffs,
- played on october 25-26th.
Playoff stage[edit]
The Playoffs are a double elimination bracket :
- the winners of the 4 groups face the runner-ups,
- semi-final losers are crossed into losers' round 2,
- early rounds are best-of-3,
- Losers' round 3, WB-Final and LB-Final are best-of-5,
- Grand Final is best-of-7,
- played on october 27-28th.
